Enjoy an asana class in which a variety of types of movement will be explored in relationship to how each affects the interconnected web of connective tissue in the body, otherwise known as fascia. We will explore current findings in the wild world of fascia research through experiential practices to get in touch with this amazing tissue. The fascial system is the forest of the body. It has no boundaries; it is continuous throughout, and it holds all the trees together. It is what holds all of our parts together, responds profoundly to life experience, and literally shapes our bodies over time. It is thought to be embodied consciousness. As such, improving its ability to glide, slide, stretch, unravel, and lengthen often holds the secrets to our transformation of mind, body, and spirit.
