The added challenge of balancing on water heightens your awareness of body alignment and requires that you pay attention now. Connect deeper with the five Elements of nature present in our outdoor classroom and also present inside of each of us. One of the best reasons to enjoy SUP yoga is floating Savasana. It could be the most relaxing pose you’ll ever experience! In this class we’ll start with a quick intro to the board, paddle, leash and PFD (personal floatation device), followed by an intro on how to stand up and basic SUP paddle strokes. From there we’ll launch onto the river and paddle to the anchor system that will keep our boards anchored for class. After our yoga class on the boards we’ll paddle back to the take-out.
NOTE: No prior SUP experience necessary and you can paddle on your knees in the beginning if you don’t want to stand up. SUP beginners and never evers welcome! ALL LEVELS!
The pick-up and drop-off for all SUP classes is located on Market Street near the Bhakti Stage. There is a clearly marked sign at this location and it is also marked on our

What to Bring: ~ Wear quick dry (lycra, bathing suit etc..) clothing that you don’t mind getting wet – note that if you fall in and there is a breeze you may want a long sleeve shirt to put on – please don’t wear cotton as it gets heavy when it’s wet and doesn’t wick moisture. ~ A strap for your glasses or sunglasses – FYI if you don’t wear a strap and you fall in you will lose your sunglasses/glasses. ~ Sunscreen ~ Water bottle ~ Towel and a change of clothes for after class ~ Water shoes/sandals for launching on and taking off the river
