Embody Opposition: The Core of Your Yoga Practice

“Root to Rise” is a cue which invites you to create opposition in your movement and in your body - a concept that is foundational to Classical Pilates. Opposition is one of what Brooke refers to as the “4 Foundations of Movement” in her Pilates instructor training program. Focusing on finding opposition in all movement - and embodying each of these principles - will facilitate stability in your yoga poses and as a result, your practice will become stronger, safer, and more efficient. In this session we will do Pilates and FEEL the 4 Foundations of Movement in our bodies, drawing parallels and connections to enhance both your quality of life, and the strength and grace of your yoga practice.
